Yesterday was a good day from me: one of my online-gone-real-life friends finally came back to town to visit his parents, and we went out together to do our respective tasks (shopping, library, etc.) and just hang out together and talk in the process. We spent some time at this cafe too (it's one of the usual places I go to with my friends, so it may look vaguely familiar to some of you).
He had his camera with him, so he took it out to photograph... guess what... the trees in the nearby park that I liked so much. Then he proceeded to take some photos of me.
I felt so relaxed with him already that I stayed relaxed enough even in front of the camera, which is a very rare experience with me. The wind wouldn't give my hair any chance of staying neatly combed - if my late grandma could see me, she would probably be terrified, but this time I decided to use this little photo session as an exercise at Looking Natural instead of worrying about such things.
When we went to our respective homes, I hurried to ask him for the photos before he'd had the time to Photoshop out all my real or perceived imperfections. He's a recently graduated fashion designer, and Photoshop is his favourite toy right now, but I'm not a model, so I can afford to look imperfect. ;) I've posted almost all the photos
on Facebook (no point in posting almost identical ones).
My only regret was that we didn't ask somebody to take a photo of us together, but he wasn't in the mood of having his photo taken that day, so I resigned to waiting for the next time. He's still in town, so I hope that we'll manage to go out at least once more.
The first two photos are my favourite.
With all the wind in my hair :) (and yes, that's my Pride bracelet)
LOL what a face! :)
And here is a photo of said trees - and the least pretty corner of the Central Market for "local colour". The cafe is in the second floor of a building right at the market, so there was a very good view of all that from the terrace. I don't like to look at that section of the market from above (the fruit and vegetables are prettier), or the parking lot in front of it or the ugly apartment building next to it, but... such is the reality of the place.
P.S. I don't know why LJ doesn't recognize immediately some of the photo edits on Photobucket. Or is it just Chrome?
