I got the results from the CAT scan back yesterday and I could write a big long thing about what the doc said and all that jazz, but it's kind of boring and I don't really feel like it. So, we're going with cliff notes.
-The thing they thought was a complex cyst is not a complex cyst which is good because that means it's not going to turn into a tumor.
-The thing they thought was a complex cyst is actually an enlarging kidney stone (5 mm - it's doubled in size over the past 6 months :\).
-The problem is, the pyramid around the stone (pyramid=thing in kidney) is closing up and it shouldn't be, and is effectively trapping the kidney stone in me, which is great because I probably won't pass it and endure horrific pain, but...
-If it gets trapped there, calcium will continue to form and I'll explode. Not really, but it'd just be bad.
-Thus, they're going to stick a laser and camera up my peehole and blast the kidney stone and part of my kidney that's closing up apart.
-I'm going to do it this summer because there is a 3-7 day time where you feel like shit because they just lasered away part of your kidney and they have to leave a tube in my ureter for 2 days so that all the kidney stone chunks can flow out and everything doesn't swell up.
-Also, due to the fact that this closing up kidney pyramid thing seems to be just naturally happening in me, I might have to get this done every decade or something because it'll keep closing and giving me kidney stones.
Um... I think that's about it.
