ParAID 2006
Official ParAID 2006 update:
-minor setbacks occured today including the realization that I don't have the $350 needed to give the Pickford Dreamspace guy by next week. However, after calling numerous local businesses, sponsors seem likely. Also, if I donate plasma twice a week from now until the event, I'll have raised approximately $250! If anyone wants to come with me, that'd be excellent!
-met with Derek from Typical Ace and Loa records and am now incredibly hopeful again. He mentioned a lot of great bands and has some ins that will help me. he's amazing.
-Smoosh and Death Cab's manager swiftly said no, however with encouragement from Derek I am not giving up. More on that later...
-Upon further analysis, ParAID 2006 is no longer a parade by any means and needs a new name. It's actually a Bellingham benefit block party on Bay St., tempting me to call it 4B. Although that might just confuse people. I have to drop off forms for sponsorship to Pita Pit tomorrow morning and need a name, so unless anyone suggests anything better by 8 am tomorrow morning, it's 4B.
