I probably can't do anything big enough to be it's own separate auction item. More like augmenting something else so... wine glass charms? baby sweaters? pocketbook? what do you think?
I can make some potholders. Square or puppet (square are easier, puppet might sell better). They can certainly go to augment something (maybe a cookies-in-a-jar mix?)
Would any of your audience be people who would travel to Somerville to see theatre?
That would be awesome to have some potholders. In past years we have totally had cooking gear packages so I'm sure we could find a great way to incorporate them. Two out of two people in my conversation as I type this say square for practicality. Maybe farmy theme fabric? or maybe in a design that looks like food (like a fried egg on a square plate or who knows what)?
I don't think the Somerville tix would be enough of a draw but the thought is very much appreciated!
I know we have some newish grandmas who will be in attendance so baby sweater notions are very good ones. You might think about touching base with Deb as she was perusing patterns for baby/toddler knitted animal themed hats when I left her this evening ... maybe toether y'all could make a package

FYI I've already started a baby sweater and a hat. Don't know if that narrows it down for you!

I haven't done it before, but it should work up quickly.
This is the sweater, though it's a pretty bad photo and I'll be making it in a different yarn:

I have some lemon yellow baby yarn I'll do one of the bibs in. I'll pick up sweater yarn and more bib colors this week.
