Belladonna County Courier Sunday Edition 2011 is
Alexander Goth's birthday
The creme de la creme of the Belladonna County society gathered in the Goth Manor in Pleasantview to celebrate the birthday of Alexander Goth.
Little Alexander takes his position as the future heir of the mighty Goth family seriously. He already talks a lot about his future marriage. He wants to make sure that the long line of Goths in Pleasantview does not end with him.
Knowing of Alexander's plans, a lot of hopeful, young ladies from all over the Belladonna County were seen among the guests.
The guest list consisted of the Capps from Veronaville, the Roths from Riverblossom Hills, the Worthingtons from Desiderata Valley, Armand DeBateau with his daughter Tara from Belladonna Cove, Malcolm Landgraab III from Bluewater VIllage and the Pleasants, Goth's next door neighbours from Pleasantview. Also two young doctors were present: Dr. Don Lothario who is the fiance of Cassandra Goth and Dr Timothy Riley from the Belladonna County General Hospital, who came with his daughter Sally. Apparently he's a close friend of the Goths.
A mysterious lady in a red dress resembling the mother of little Alexander, Mrs Bella Goth, was seen among the guest. Was she the real thing or just another impostor?
Mortimer Goth turned up in just his jammies. His excuse was that he had not been feeling well lately. Seems that the flu epidemic, currently spreading through Belladonna County, has hit the old scientist hard.
Alexander is such a dashing young man. But what was Mary Sue pleasant groping in Malcolm Landgraabs pocket?
The future son-in-law of the Goth family, Dr. Don Lothario, got a lot of favourable attention from the ladies as usual.
Was that the cause, why the bride-to-be, Cassandra Goth, was crying in the middle of the happy crowd?
The teen beauties of Belladonna County were swarming around the birthday boy.
The only other teen boy among the guests, Xandher Roth, also got a lot attention from the girls. The rumour says that the heir of the Roth estate has developed a crush towards Juliette Capp.
Mortimer Goth received a lot of wishes for quick recovery from his illness. But what was Julien Cooke doing among the guests?
(I really don't know where he came from).
The flu is spreading through our community and no one is saved - not even the members of the medical profession.
The party went well into midnight and the youngest guests got a bit tired...
... while the men got drunk.
After the party ended some puzzled relatives were seen seeking their young ones - who had already left a long time ago.
We have received messages from some concerned citizens, that Alexander Goth has been seen in bad company lately. We hope these individuals don't infect the young Goth with bad influences.
(The bad boy in the picture is Rick Contrary, who is constantly starting fights and throwing tantrums while visiting other lots. A really troubled teen indeed.)
Hopefully Alexander can infuse his sound family values into his mates in stead.

Carlos Contender

Our favourite sports reporter Peter Ottomas met one of the brightest sports stars in Belladonna County, the hall of famer Carlos Contender, for a chat about the life after athletic career. The two fan favourites met in Carloses newly renovated bungalow near the beach in Belladonna Cove.

First of all Carlos shared some fantastic memories from his long athletic career. As some of you may remember, Carlos started as a baseball player in college before he became the 'The Cobra' of the boxing ring. But that will be the subject for another article in the sports section.
Peter: "After you retired from boxing you were appointed to the chairman of the local welcoming committee. How did that happen?"
Carlos: "I was asked and I agreed *laughter*. Seriously, as a hall of famer I have so few responsibilities and have to work only three days a week, so I got a little bored. I enjoy meeting new people and I make friends easily, so naturally I was excited for this new opportunity."
Peter: "How have the newcomers reacted to meeting a legend?"
Carlos: "It seems that many sims are quite smitten, when they are welcomed by a celebrity like me. Some act quite shy and get a bit tongue tied."
Peter: "How do you break the ice then?"
Carlos: "I try to find common interests - sports seems always like a sure bet."
"Common courtesy like kindness, consideration and...
... and respect towards your fellow citizens go a long way in making them feel welcomed."
Peter: "You are also famous for your garden parties..."
Carlos: "I like to entertain, to bring sims from different age and social groups together. Good food and interesting topics are a sure recipe for a roof raiser party."
(I have used Carlos and his parties to introduce the uni kids to single adults in order to find possible mates for therm.)
Carlos: "And a tip, you can arrange garden parties even in winter. Just make sure you wear weather-appropriate clothing!"
Peter: "Fascinating! But on to your private life which, I'm sure, is very interesting. You are a prime example of the many eligible bachelors in our county. Despite your age, you have quite a reputation as a very virile ladies' man. I've heard some sims call you a stud." (Did I detect envy in Peter's voice?)
Carlos: "He, he, one tries to please... I maybe old but I've gathered a few tricks and a lot of experience since my first woohoo a long time ago. Oh, I love the ladies in a all shapes and sizes. You could say I'm omnivorous regarding the two w's: women and woohoo. "

... or divorced (Jessica Peterson). I just want to please them all the time and anywhere."
Peter: "Boy, you got almost poetic there...he, he. But I've heard that even many men find you irresistible?"
Carlos "Ewww, I don't swing that way AT ALL! And frankly, in my experience the guys that approach me just want to talk about sports."
"But those college girls - yummmm, I prefer them to all the other ladies."
"I like that they don't beat around the bush. They tell you exactly what they want."
"They just make you feel young and supple again."
(I hope Carlos did not spring his hips there.)
Then the discussion turned to Carloses long career and all the sacrifices - no family and children that he knows of - he had to make to reach the top.
Carlos still has daily training sessions to keep in shape.
And our reporter can vouch that he is in very good shape indeed. "The Cobra" still bites like in the old days.
The discussion between Carlos and Peter went on until the wee wee hours. You could easily fill an entire book with all the stories Carlos had to tell.
We all hope that he can find the time to write his memoirs, which would undoubtedly become a huge bestseller.
Cassandra and Don break up!
Since Cassandra Goth was seen crying during her brother's birthday, persistent rumours of the break up of her engagement with Dr Don Lothario have been running wild in Pleasantview.
These rumours were substantiated the other day, when a very pregnant - wow! - Cassandra Goth obviously completely ignored Don with another lady at the Sugar Cube Bowling alley.
Later Cassandra was heard telling the lady in very clear terms, how much she hated a certain member of the medical profession.
The lady in question, who turned out to be Sharon Wirth from Desiderata Valley, obviously did not share Cassie's feelings....
But what happened between the most followed young couple of Belladonna County?
Did Cassandra finally catch Don with one of his several mistresses?
Will Don take responsibility of the child Cassandra is carrying?
(Ahem, Cassie, the door is the other way...)
Does she cry herself to sleep at night?

Where were you, when you heard the news of Bella Goth's disappearance? Bella's mysterious disappearance is one of the most shocking, perhaps THE MOST shocking, moments in the recent history of the Sim nation and has left a permanent mark in our collective memory.
But now BELLA IS BACK!
She was seen hanging out on the porch of the Pleasants, when some friends of Daniel Pleasant gathered there one afternoon.
It is rumoured that Bella and Daniel Pleasant were more than just friends.
But Bella's romancing ways seem to have put an end to the "friendship".
An eyewitness reported that Bella Goth recently moved to a nice house in Belladonna Cove.
The Courier will try to get an interview from the mysterious lady and find out all the details of her disappearance.
Vampires on the loose!
Strange creatures with grayish skin, red eyes and...
...fangs have reportedly been seen downtown.
It is rumoured that some individuals have already made close contact with the alleged vampires...
... with horrible consequences.
Belladonna County Courier however has not been able to substantiate any of the rumours. So we urge the public to stay calm and assure that vampires only exist in novels and movies.
