Hi all
I'm doing some research on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, particularly on the episode "Once More, With Feeling" (the musical episode). In particular, I'm looking for information on how the episode was received, and how it affected people, particularly if they are/were fans of musical theatre before or after seeing the episode. I've created the

Never really thought about it, but I've been singing songs from musicals since my mom starred as Agnes Gooch in Mame when I was about 4 years old. I knew every song from that musical back then. My mom was a huge musical fan and was always singing from them. I really regret that she died before we could go to Broadway together, it would have been awesome.
7. Are you a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Or do you consider yourself a casual watcher (so to speak), but not necessarily a fan?
Intense and serious fan of Buffy. Own all episodes and have seen them multiple times.
8. When did you first see “Once More, With Feeling” (i.e.: when it first aired on television; on television but in re-runs; on DVD long after the show was off the air, etc)? Feel free to elaborate. If you haven’t seen it (or don’t even know what it is), mention that too.
All of the above. Saw it four times the first week it came out and many times since then.
9. If you do like musicals, were you a fan of them before or after you saw OMWF (or both)?
See all the above answers. I was a fan of musicals LONG before Buffy came along.
10. How did viewing OMWF affect your feelings about either Buffy or musicals? Did seeing OMWF make you curious about or turn you on to other musicals (whether in movies, on television, or on stage)? If so, what about it made you want to examine other musicals?
Buffy had nothing to do with my love of musicals. Joss Whedon is an incredible writer with a lot of talent but to be honest, Buffy is not the best musical out there. It's great fun and I love it but I think it was wise of Joss to enlist his brothers' help in doing Dr. Horrible (which is a MUCH stronger musical than Once More with Feeling)
11. Do you consider OMWF your favorite episode of Buffy? If so, why is it your favorite, and how does it relate to your feelings about musicals/musical theatre in general? If not, why not (and how does it relate)?
It's certainly one of my many favourite, amongst other things for the FINALLY moment when you get Spike and Buffy snoggage, but I prefer many other Buffy eps, amongst them: The Body, Hush, Angel, School Hard, Band Candy, the Zeppo, Something Blue, As you Were and Conversations with Dead People.
12. If you don't mind my asking, what is your sex/gender, and how old are you?
I'm female and 47 years old at the moment.
