Just kidding...it's not really that urgent. I just need to take a moment to say, NEVER never watch the movie, "Shallow Hal". It stars Jack Black and Gwynneth Paltrow in a fat suit. Oh man...it was just SO bad. We had recently watched "The Phantom" wich is one of those fabulous films that's so bad in a way that it's SO good. I'd watched it with my ( Read more... )

Hmmm...I think that I might see the movie just to see them wearing a fat suit together! Wotta sight that would be. I think that Jack Black should just stick to rock and roll. He's pretty good at that, but I can't imagine him in this movie, or any other one, for that matter.

Hope you are feeling better. I look forward to hearing what an art gallery there must be like. I am picturing lots of wood and gold filagree (this is mis-spelled. LJ suggested flare Legree, among others), and maybe some velvet paintings of the erstwhile King.

I went for a fitting of my *bridal gown* tonight. Omigod. I feel like a fairy princess. But I can't give you any details because my hubby-to-be might read this and then the surprise will be out of the bag. The person who owns the very bizarre wedding dress (think Little Shop of Horrors)me to a woman who does alterations at about one tenth of the cost that I used to charge. No wonder I couldn't make a living. Everyone was probably going to her. Better her than me, though. Don't even have a clue how I did that for so many years.

Started my new job today. I think I am really, really going to like it. Didn't do too much as the Novell system was being finicky, but I got a really good feeling from the staff. It's the vibe, man. It seems that my reputation preceded me, so I better not let them down. ;-)

Keep us posted of your exploits. And tell your brother to drop us a line or make a journal entry for Pete's sake. We can't take your word about all of these things.

OH - ps - there was a very informative show on Marketplace on NPR tonight about how many American companies are scrambling to get some employees to learn Arabic. They figure it takes about 480 hours of study just to be able to form an intelligent sentence. I think Alex had a good hunch there. I will try to get the transcript of the show.
