so, Captain Louie, the new stephen schwartz musical, opened on Monday night and it was great. The show went fabulous and the party after was soooooooo much fun. Turns out that teal is ushering at the LIttle Shubert so I saw her on opening night there and have now seen her lots cause, as it happens, I am staying with the production as the assistant to the director and as the child wrangler. I am staying on until I find something better, cause as some of you know, the director is no picnic to work with. Anyway, the reason for the subject of this post.......I was standing in the empty theater today and stood on the stage, and looked out in the house, and the song "you there in the back row" has never been more poignient to me than at that moment. I started singing it to myself and it hasnt left my head all night (expet for when I saw Jenn Colella in SLUT). which brings me to my next point, Molly and I saw SLUT tonight and Jenn was friggin amazing. She has a voice that has no comparison and has a presence and ease that leaves you in awe. She was fantastic and we loved watching her. We chatted a bit after the show and she seemed happy to have folks she knew in the audience. so for all of you in NY, go see SLUT. its worth it! they have student tix, too. 25 bucks. we sat front row center . well worth it. yay. so also, i am performing in a flying trapeze show in williamsburg brooklyn starting friday and going each weekend thru nov 20. It is very exciting, and I urge you all to come see it. It is my first NY performance and I am very excited. as you can tell. hehehhee.
