Star light, star bright... grant the wish I wish tonight...
There was a partial lunar eclipse tonight - the moon first turned a deep shade of red and orange, and then later it partially disappeared.
It was truly an awe-inspiring and humbling sight - where am I in relation to this awesome movement of the planets? The longer I looked - the more different it looked - a blood red moon, an apple suspended high, high in the sky...
And, for all of my scientific rationalism, I couldn't shake this feeling of... I don't know. It was unsettling, looking at it. Like a bad omen. Now I know how the ancient peoples felt.
I finished the first third of my chemistry assignment - finished, done, complete. Almost printed! YAY!!

He's so... (I can never seem to get over this) TALL - and it's sort of like he's in a in-between phase between teenager and "adult" - his body is hot, but he's still got the cutest dimples. Huh.
And I fell in love with Sandy McCoy - isn't she just GORGEOUS? And she looks so... normal - she has a sort of natural beauty and intelligence and warmth about her that makes them both just look so perfect.

10 things that make me grumpy - the sad thing is that I'm guilty of a lot of this myself.
- Dictatorial schools - annoying and shapeless uniforms, hats with metal in them, stupid rules and stupid assemblies and pedantic teachers "Put your ribbon in"-esque people
- Missing the bus by like one minute and waiting half an hour for another one that isn't full to the brim. God, that pisses the hell out of me some mornings.
- Blatant rudeness. Like leaving your belongings strewn over the locker room floor for people to trip, or blocking the hallways and doorways to chat (in shrill, LOUD voices with plenty of expletives)
- Pride in idiocy. The "haha-I-haven't-read-the-textbook" type or the "if-I-don't-know-about-it-it's-not-important" type.
- Disrespect for different beliefs, cultures, ways of doing things
- When I forget to turn my phone on silent or my iPod off and it starts in class - or when I forget to put my iPod on hold and it starts running and runs out of charge by the time I want to use it.
- Losing marks in assignments or exams for stupid mistakes - or pedanticism on the part of the teacher
- Tasteless, dry and oily food that you paid way-too-much money for.
- The fact that some teachers won't let students use Wikipedia as a "reliable source"
- Ads. And the way that whatever channel you happen to change to, they all seem to be on at the same TIME.
10 Things that make me SMILE
- My friends. They make my day, all of them - my locker and bus friends, girls in various classes and my closer friends... they never fail to cheer me up OR fatten me up ;P
- My LJ-girls and their lives and loves and laughter:)
You guys are awesome, seriously.
- A baby's laughter. That will never fail to bring a smile to my face, ever.
- My family - they have the ability to make me laugh, cry or scream.
- My little 3 year old cousin. She's absolutely GORGEOUS.
- Wonderfully made icons or stories or squeeing from my various fandoms - a pic of Jared and his smiling, dimpled face always makes mine smile too.
- Those really random little things that catch my attention - like the whole moon thing today - though that wasn't really little...
- Watching someone else when they are really happy - it makes me feel good too.
- An inspirational story or movie - especially if it's one from real life.
- A fun, life-celebrating song - like "Suddenly I see" by KT Tunstall, or "Hit Me Up" by Gia Farrell - OR my current favorite, "Chak De! India"
- The slip of paper you get after completing a big assignment. Or shredding all of my exam notes.
