Brandy
I saw a Brandy look alike today at work. She didn't look exactly the same, definitely not as much rottweiler in her, but Maggie was a beagle mix of about the same size, similar features and similar coloring. While the beagle puppy I almost stole yesterday was super cute, the puppy didn't make me nearly as excited as this one. I took some extra time to give her some hugs, like I used to do with Bran. I still miss that doggie every day. She was my baby for 12 years. And while I love Whoofers dearly, she wasn't the one thing constant for me through childhood, moving, losing and gaining friends, high school and all the happiness and misery that comes along with all of that. Aside from my parents no one person has been through with me as much as my baby was. And she was always the one I cried to. Now that would be Sarah, but Sarah doesn't look nearly as cute when she begs for a treat. :-D
I got majorly clawed by a crazy cat today, it sunk it's nails into my arm and just kept going. It's kind of deep. I scrubbed it really well and put some betadine on it to hopefully prevent any infection. I just got a really bad feeling about it when it happened. You know how sometimes when something happens you just get this pit in your stomach like "uh oh." I think this is one of those cases though where it will be fine, my arm will not swell up and force me to urgent care. It looks more like a snake bite than cat scratch. Lauren and I decided that I got bitten by a copperhead and had to suck out the poison myself. That's the story we're going with. So not only did I get shot this summer, I got bitten by a copperhead. How I spent my summer vacation.
