I'm posting again, so you can bet your ass I'm procrastinating from something quite important.
I was awake from 9am wednesday until about 10pm thursday when I got home from work and crashed. I also went that entire time eating only a bowl of cereal and a biscuit. I really kind of hate work and the kind of life my newly imposed apathy is making/letting me live.
I woke up at like 6 this morning though and made myself the most delicious omelot and some turkey bacon which I ate while watching an episode of Arrested Development, which I am now trying to watch in order, from the beginning, after only seeing random episodes here and there for the past few years.
It was then followed by me watching all of the videos on youtube of amanda palmer when she played with the boston pops. It's kind of ridiculous how emotional they make me feel. Her ability to make art in its truest form and bridging all these gaps between demographics is pretty incredible. I'm super jealous of Cole and the fact that he was at one of their performances. I totally would have broken down if I was there, and it sounds pathetic, but I guess music is better having that effect on someone than maybe some other things. I was a little nervous about Amanda Palmer going solo, but from what I've heard so far with the orchestra arrangements and everything, I'm pretty sure it's going to be my favorite amanda palmer project to date.
Other music news...the Spinto Band is finally coming out with their next album at the beginning of October after signing with Park the Van records, so I'm pretty super excited to hear what's going to come out of that.
In other news, if I don't end up getting to see the new batman in theaters I'm gonna cut a bitch. Mamma Mia! comes out this weekend too, and I dont see how that was a good marketing move. I feel like it has flown pretty under the radar without a whole lot of attention, and I feel like it could have easily attracted a lot of attention in other circumstances. I wouldn't mind seeing that one in theaters either. Both of them are playing at the esquire...
back to work?
