This weekend just gone was the TK Event.  I played a new character - a Hothran noble who, whilst friendly and approachable, was most certainly looking down on *everyone* including the other Hothran noble who was a player character because even throufg he actually had manners he was still of a "lesser" House than her :-)

I was full combat, after the pregnancy-enforced non-comming of last year, and so really got to wade in and whallop and get whalloped in return.  I have counted at least 15 bruises including a lovely one striped across my left buttcheek, and an absolutely amazing one on the back of my knee which has gone all the shades of purple which are possible.

Beloved and I swapped in and out between feeds on the babysitting front.  Edric was an absolute dream - he was more than happy to sit and watch the things going on from a balcony over the courtyard, we had a separate bedroom for him so that he could sleep undisturbed (just as well when Beloved had a few too many of the homebrew ale on the Friday night and I had to wrestle him up to the top bunk) and he was just generally so well-behaved.  One of the non-com characters was kind enough to sit with him in his pushchair during the final fight so that we could both get involved.  I owe the girl a drink (when she has popped her own sprog out, of course).  But Ed took the new location and lots of new people completely in his stride and coped incredibly well.  We tried not to let him disturb the players too much, and I had a very lovely hour or so on the Sat afternoon in the company of a couple of other babysitters and some of the knackered out and unrequired monsters, sitting in the sun and laughing about nothing in particular.

Once Ed was down for the night he (thankfully) stays down, and so Beloved and I were able to RP together for the first time in AAAAAAAAGES!

I have far too much frothing going on inside my skull right now for me to make much sense.  Just to say:  if you didn't come along, you *really* missed out on the most fun and fantastic Event that I, and many of the others, have been too.
