I Ait'ent Ded

I really am crap.  Four months since the last update.

Not that I really have a lot to say.  Obviously, my life still revolves around Edric - who is ten months old now.  He is crawling, weaning is going well and he's burbling a lot more.  I still have yet to get him to say Dada, but he is *very* good at blowing raspberries.

My knitting appears to have ground to a halt, which is disappointing because I only have to sew the thing together and it's done.  I'm currently making a stegosaurus toy, and all I have left is sewing the legs and the plates to the body, making and sewing on the eyes and it's done.  All the bits are stuffed and ready to go, but I'm kinda freaked out by this last stage.  I don't want Edric's steggie to have a limp.  Of course, once the Steg is done then I can get on with the Triceratops...

I also have many patterns for toys and clothing for little people which I want to try out.  The good thing is that they don't all have to be for Edric!

Also, I have discovered that my cooking repetoire has expanded thanks to Edric. I have to make foods that are baby suitable, so are low in salt, no refined sugars, that sort of thing. I was never able to properly get behind risotto, but I have now! And Edric loves my cooking. Poor boy...

In other baby news, I have a new nephew - Beloveds sister popped last week with a little boy whom they have called David.  Technically he'll be in the same school year as Ed, which is kinda weird because he's ten months behind.  But then, Alex (my bro's son) is in the year above being four months older than Edric is.  Three boys in the family in just over a year.  Crikey.

Going on to larping...  Weekend after next is the big TK Event, a weekend of larping at a campsite in Wales, just outside of Cardiff.  I have a new character the play (that's four now.  I'll be holding off on making new ones until I have retired a few!) which is combat-heavy in a knee-jerk reaction to being non-com all last year.  I am very looking forward to playing her and getting stuck in.  I think she's going to be fun :-)

I think that's it for now...

larp, knitting, spawn
