I hope you can get into grad school, I also know it's not the most convenient path, but I have a friend from Germany who got a tourist visa and went to school under the excuse he was visiting friends. He says it's stressful, but that it's been worth it as he's been able to stay for all 4 years at school.

mmm the only problem with that is that I don't want to risk any chance I have of getting to stay later. Also Norway is on a visa waiver program with the US, which means I can only be in the country 90 out of every 180 days

I'm sorry our country is stupid. I'm sick of us hating foreigners while they're here, but concerning ourselves beyond decency while they reside in their home country with various overbearing foreign policies.

What I have been thinking of is if I do have to leave using those 90/180 days to come back and visit as much as I can.
