September Game

So, the Quest game happened. There was a lot that went wrong in the run-up to this game; I lost two NPCs and a co-GM less than a week before the game to family/health emergencies, and I had to scramble to recruit replacements and re-shuffle casting in order to fill the spaces. Thankfully, my remaining staff and a couple of people who came on board at the last minute really pulled together to make everything work. The snacks seemed to go over well (the brownies were certainly gone by the end of the game!), and I got compliments on the new monster we introduced. All the feedback I received from the PCs was positive, which is a very welcome relief, since the last couple of GMing experiences I've had haven't been nearly so gratifying. We also had a couple of new players who, to all indications, had a blast and are excited for future games.

There were some fun war stories that came out of this game, mostly involving the octopus (which I grabbed out of Props at the last minute on a whim, and am very glad I did). I'm just too drained to remember most of them right now.

I'm exhausted, still aching two days later, and my brain hasn't stopped telling me that I need to keep making props, but I'm very pleased with how everything turned out. I'm desperately grateful to everyone who pitched in to make this game work, and I hope everyone who attended on Saturday had a good time.
