Last Friday was an interesting one.
That day I was going in for an interview. My alarm rang at 4:00am, and I couldn't sleep afterwards. Periodically during the morning, I had moments of sleep intermixed with moments of insomnia. I get a phone call from my interviewer asking me to move up the interview time from 3:00pm to 1:45pm. Okay, I thought. I got out of bed and made some coffee.
I go online, check my e-mail, and various celeb websites. Paris Hilton was to report to court that morning. First it was going to be by phone, but then she had to physically be there by noon California time. I didn't care until someone told me to turn on MSNBC. Once I did, I saw what may well be the most unnecessary media coverage I've ever seen. Photogs swarming around her house. Helicopters flying overhead. All for a celebutard.
I'll admit I got ready for my interview with the TV on watching the Paris coverage. I couldn't stop watching it with means that I'm as pathetic as this whole case. If anything, this case will bring a much needed debate on the US justice system. Right now, I don't trust the LA police department or any other police department. And I would have respected Paris more if she had served the 23 days continuously and not making a big fuss over food or living arrangements. Jail is horrible, and we don't have a choice to get out of it.
BTW, the interview went well. I'll know by this week if I get a second interview or not. I'm not confident.
