Oh, Charmed (spoilers, just in case u wanna watch)!

So this Saturday was a little bit of a bust. I didn't go to work, my project for my job got a little messed up by my baby cousin, I didn't get up until it was almost mid day, we didn't have a sleepover at Alicia's AND I didn't get to play The Sims 2. BUT then I started a Charmed marathon and I didn't care. I think I watched CHARMED for 12 str8 hours. From 3:30 PM to 3:30 AM. And I've been watching it since 9:30 this morning and it just ended. That is insane. But the goal was to watch the episode where Prue died, and then watch the de-evolution of Cole and Phoebe, the most epic couple of all time. LOL. I got through it today. I've decided Sunday is going to be CHARMED day. I've been watching too much TV on DVD, as well.

Some observations:
They always had awful outfits. Especially Phoebe. AW.FUL. Like worse than Destiny's Child outfits when Tina Knowles made them. And they were always trashy. I feel like it got better once Prue died, not worse. LOL. That's not saying much tho becuz once she died
The vanquish storylines got worse. LOL. The overarching storylines were good (at least up until the 6th season, and I still hafta watch the whole of seasons 6-8) but the "vanquish the creature" storylines just got a bit ridic. Comic book heroines, 3 evil blondes, goddesses...I dunno. Maybe they weren't played out so awfully, but the ideas were just bad to me. You know that a show's number is up when the writers or story idea ppl aren't even trying anymore. I remember watching the previews of the next episode and instead of downplaying the stupidness, they really played it up. Which made the shows look even worse. Which made me not want to watch.
I really appreciate the way that everyone grew after Prue died. They stayed consistent to themselves but they also managed to evolve. That was very neat and made the show worth watching after the wicked witch of TVLand left. I shouldn't say that, but seriously all of them should have just grown up and agreed to suck it up for the sake of having a hit TV show. Or whatever. I think it was a hit. That being said,
I HATE THE WAY THEY COPPED OUT ON SOME VERY IMPORTANT DEATHS!!!!

O.M.G. The only death that they did justice to was the death of Andy. That was wonderful, emotional and fair considering what an impact he had on the show and Prue. But WTF? FTW? Why why why why did Prue and Cole die such pussy deaths?!?!?! Really, we didn't even get to see Prue die. There was no emotional moment at all, really. There was but it wasn't over Prue dying. It would have been nice for them to have a scene together, kneeling by Prue as she took her last breath or SOMETHING. ANYTHING but what they did. I was like "WTF?!" when the first episode of the 4th season did a pretty lame job of explaining what happened. It was understandable, but not enough. And I had never seen that episode before - if I had seen that when it first aired I probably would have had a stroke at the injustice. She was a major character; she should have had a much more major death. It was worse than when D.L. died.
And Cole. This really killed me. Not that I didn't love Prue, but after re-watching I just remembered that Cole and Phoebe were my heart. LOL. They were a typical story but one of my favorite typical stories and they deserved some better closure as well. The first time they vanquished Cole as the source, in my opinion, should have been the last. That was a death that did him and Phoebe's relationship justice. Even if it was "never meant to be," as far as I'm concerned that was Phoebe's only real relationship. All of the other men in her life after Cole pale in comparison. I know I haven't really watched the last 3 seasons, but if any man can top Cole I'll eat my hand. It's Prue and Andy, Piper and Leo and COLE AND PHOEBE. Again, we don't get into the longer Paige relationships until the last 3 seasons, but whatever her situation with love that's the triad of amazing couples on CHARMED. They evolved Cole from a cool demon into a raving mad pathetic lunatic obsessive demon and it wasn't even his fault because he was trying to be good. He tried super hard. Then he just gave up. And I feel like the only person who could really kill him was real Phoebe, not alternate universe Phoebe. I just feel like after all their high passion and fighting for each other, they could at least still care at the last fight. They didn't. And I watched the documentary where they were so excited to get him back for the 150th episode. I am hoping and praying with all my might that in the very last episode of the series, they can somehow be together or that they pay some kind of homage to this awe-mazing relationship (even if she ends up with one of the other numerous Nick Lachey throwaway men they throw on the show to try to replace Cole). And no more F*ING time manipulation for deaths.

What else? I watched some special features. Those were pretty lame. LOL. They had a documentary about the show and it was stupid bcuz they skirted around the whole fight that happened behind the scenes and said something like, "There was enuff drama off the camera to make another show." WTF was soooo unbearable between those 2 supposed-to-be women that they couldn't even stand to work with each other anymore? I hope that one day they have an E-True Hollywood story that tells all. You can't just leave that in the air. Or they have another better show that can tell the story bcuz E True is just a joke now to me. Back in the day when they did ones like 3'S COMPANY and CHIPPENDALE'S were when they really got their hands dirty. Another sad point - there were hardly any interviews with the cast members that were there before Prue died. Ugh.
They had one about THE MEN OF CHARMED. WhatEVER. They didn't feature any of the really important men. Just Leo, Cole and the other unimportant fools who came after. No ANDY. WTF I know they all hate Shannen Doherty but they could at least profile Andy - he was important. No DARRYL. I know there was no relationship, but he was a man of CHARMED. No CHRIS. No WYATT. And those unimportant guys don't even DESERVE to be named. They could have just did short, in-depth coverage of the guys who mattered, not all those losers who were just filler for Cole. And Paige's blah relationships. LOL.

What else? I was entirely too invested in this show today. LOL. I don't even want to play The Sims 2. I want to continue to watch - but I'm going to force myself to do something else entirely. See you all. I almost forgot it was Super Bowl Sunday. LAME.
