(no subject)
well i had a little scare on monday. i had started spotting just a littl bit. so i went to the er where they naturally did not find the cause of the blood. but i did get an ultrasound out of the deal. (however they did make me have a catheder put in again.) that made me very angry. i had been sitting there for three hours and had plenty of time to drink enough water to work for the ultrasound. everything on the scan looked good. we couldn't see the sex. it's ok though. baby looked good. well, i got a phone call from the doctor's office asking me to come in on tuesday. i came in and was told by a doctor at the office (not my usual midwife) that i have a short cervix and have a high risk of preterm labor. he said i need to take it easy and be off of my feet and that i was also being refered to a specialist. so i was home from work and doing nothing from tuesday through thursday when i recieved a call telling me that i had an ultrasound apointment (with the specialist) on friday morning. i went in and we were immediately told that we were having a girl (yay!). they also did a vaginal ultrasound to measure my cervix. it measured fine. the tech said that anything over 3cm is good and i was measuring 4cm. so it looks like everything is good. i have one more ultrasound scheduled for tuesday (the original ultrasound date). that will confirm that everything is ok. i hope it still looks good. i will hopefully return to work on tuesday. we will also find out if it is still ok for us to go to california in two weeks. i sure hope so:)
