I haven't posted anything lately, but I've been so busy. Yeah, the weeks are flying by here in Japan-land. I can't believe it's already Saturday! I spent my day today trying to catch up on the things I haven't had time to do during the week, such as some homework, updating this journal, more homework, cleaning my room, etc. I'm also starting to prepare for my quickly approaching return to the USA. 1.5 months! Yikes! Its a good and a bad thing.

Yesterday was the start of the rainy season in Japan. It lasts probably from now until mid July. It will be cloudy and rainy quite often, and with that comes the awesome humidity that I've been so happy without. Oh well.

I am going to HOKKAIDO (the northernmost island of Japan) with Ashley in about 3 weeks!! I will be gone from Wednesday the 28-30th. So far, we plan on seeing the Sapporo Brewery (one of the things I've been wanting to see since before I came to Japan), some museums and some nature sites, but most amusingly, we are going to a "Butler Cafe"!! A Butler Cafe is a Maid Cafe for women where good lookin' boys dressed up as English Butlers serve girls coffee and snacks, I think. At least thats what it appears to be... ah another strange aspect of Japanese culture. Maid cafes are kind of popular in Japan, where boys go to get dinner or lunch served by cute girls dressed in English Maid costumes. It should be interesting for sure!! I think this is the first Butler Cafe in Japan, but rumor has it that there is one in Akihabara (geek land) as well.

To complete my brewery tour, I still have to visit the Kirin Brewery and the Ebisu one, which are in Yokohama and downtown Tokyo respectively. Anyone up for either of these drinking adventures???

Thats all the news for now. World Cup soccer starts this week... so my host parents will be very happy and very busy. hehehee I never really liked watching soccer, but I think some of their enthusium is wearing off onto me. =)
