Thanks! Pastor Jim being afraid the his faith had been misplaced would be about the greatest fear I could think of. I considered writing Ellen losing Jo, or Dean losing Sam, but I thought a lot of other people would write those and I was right. Some of them were pretty good, so I'm glad I went in another direction.

Glad you enjoyed!

No I don't think he lost his faith, he just had a moment of doubting. When I was writing I was thinking that if God left heaven, maybe his protections left with him and holy places might be left open to evil where they never were before. Jim knows Meg shouldn't be able to come in the church, yet there she is. I think he might have wondered why that was.

I'm not sure it's ever really addressed anywhere in canon about the demons in the churches, and it happens several times which has always made me curious. I like seeing Jim's little encounter with Meg from this perspective. Great job!

Thank you! I wanted to use a perspective that wasn't a major character, and I mentally went episode to epsode until I got to Salvation and Jim and Meg in the church. A man of faith like Jim confronted with a challenge to his beliefs.

I too, would like to know more about the demons in the churches. I don't think it ever was addressed in canon, but I wish it had been. An early clue to God's abdication, maybe?

So glad you enjoyed, thanks for commenting!

Damn!! *sobs* Oh, Jim...dammit, I wish we had gotten to know him better! His death hurt me so bad, even though we knew so little of him.

*hugs you tight*

I know! At the time he was just a character we'd never seen, but I feel like I've gotten to know him through fic.

Thanks, BB!

Ooh, I liked this a lot. I don't usually seek out stories about tertiary characters but Pastor Jim and his church were so interesting; I wish the show had done more with them. Thank you for this!

I also wish Pastor Jim had not been offed quite so soon, but they had Bobby coming up, so I guess another old acquaintance, hunter wasn't needed. But the church aspect would have been nice, especially give Sam's faith and Dean's disbelief.

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed!

This is extraordinary, Ti! I love Pastor Jim and we don't see enough fic with him in it. I love his mindset in this. Thanks for sharing. *Is wistful* now I wish to see season one again.

Is this part of your NanoWriMo, too?

Thank you. I'm loving Jim too, I think this is the third fic I've worked him into and there may be more.

No, this also is not for nano, had to be posted by last week on Wednesday. This week's las will be nano friendly though, once I figure out what to write about. All my nano words so far have been for the 25th Acoustics. It's not for a few weeks, but for a big anniversary like 25, I want to have something really good. I don't know about that, but it's really long anyway. 900 words. I know some people consider anything under 1000 words a drabble, but usually I'm a stickler for the 100 word limit. Maybe I'll just call it a ficlet in the Acoustics 'verse.

Okay, now I'm shutting up. Got a bunch of words to go for today, and now that I'm done with the Acoustics story I've got to work on something else. Wish me luck!
