Can't even tell you how much I've been looking forward to an update for this one and it was so worth the wait. You just do such an absolutely amazing job with the tension and the subtleties here. The cops are so wonderfully disturbing and I love Sam trying so hard to defend his brother (and visa versa of course).

Thanks! God, it's been almost a year since I got the last part up, it's very bad of me to have taken so long. I've written a million other things when I should be putting time in on this. I actually cut this chapter to get this part posted because I wanted to get SOMETHING up. The good part of that is I've got a good start on the next part so it shouldn't take so long.

More really bad stuff coming up (I know you won't mind!)for Dean before things get better!

Dean is one fucked up kid right now, in more ways than one. He's sure Sam and his dad will see this as his fault. Hopefully more much sooner than this chapter took!

Thanks! I really, really want to finish this. I hate unfinished WIPs and those that take forever to be updated and here I am doing it myself. Angst is key here and there's bucketloads more of it to come. I mean, John isn't even back in the picture yet and that's when it's really going to hit the fan. And Dean's far from done with the cops. Hopefully not too long before more is up!

It was wonderful to find this post. Hope that John will answer soon. Tomorrow is a long time. The last sentence almost killed me, hopefully you will let Dean know how much Sam loves him and make him understand that what happened is not his fault. Going to find something to help me through the next chapter. Thanks for the update.

Well....today's not over yet, I just wanted to get something posted. Sam's day in school is going to have it's ups and downs.
Don't worry. Eventually Sam will realize what Dean thinks and make sure Dean knows it isn't true.

Yeah, Dean's pretty messed up physically and mentally. And Sam's not letting those cops near his brother again if he can help it. Glad you think it was worth waiting for, hon!
