Five Drabbles

[tifaching]

The roadhouse is closed; floors swept, kitchen cleaned, the last of her would be suitors out the door.  Bill’s been gone just over seven months and the list of fools who think she can’t get by without a man to run things is lengthy.

Her baby girl’s asleep in the back room.  A shot of whiskey chases another beer before Ellen brings her upstairs.

These are all great, though the Missouri one is my absolute favorite. Such an eerie feel.

It's mine too. I always wondered what her gift would have felt when Sam was falling into Ruby's clutches and the apocalypse was on its way.

Great snapshots, all of them, but there was melancholy in the portrait of Ellen that I really, really liked....

These are all good drabbles.

But I'm confused--what the heck is happening to Dean in the last two? Is the "rolling black cloud" Dean going to Hell in the fourth drabble? Is something in Purgatory melting the flesh off Dean's bones in the fifth one?

Again, despite the questions, I enjoyed these.

Dean is going to hell in the fourth drabble and my head canon is that there was not much in Purgatory to eat so he'd be starving a good part of the time.
