Prompt: "harmony" Word Count: 1,117 Warnings: mild language Author's Note: eltea rocks my world with her editing skills. ♥ It rained like crazy last week, hence... XD
I can't even find words for how happy I am that you found so much to connect to in this. x) As I was telling eltea, "Micah is like me if I was an emo boy with an awesome name." XD
I've had a lot of trouble figuring out what that "in" is supposed to mean -- if we're even supposed to know...? O_o
Yeah, it's weird how that is. And it's not a one-way street in any way. :/ And I think being love-full of someone is the big part, and the important part, and the really beautiful part. :)
Lines are overrated anyway.
I use it a lot but mean it rarely. It's very easy for me to say in a love-you way, and very difficult for me to say in an in-love-with-you way, I think. Because... maybe partly because it is so difficult to make that distinction, when it's supposedly such a drastic difference. I mean, is in-love supposed to be "just"-love with something else on top? Or is it a different kind of love entirely? And who the hell am I to make a declaration claiming to understand what I feel in the first place? XD
Man, I think this is the best thing you've written to date. At least it's the best thing of yours I've read. I freaking loved this. It actually reminded me of my "Pape and Danforth" stuff, which I hope you don't mind. It's the atmosphere and dialogue. Your descriptions are far more eloquent. :)
And let me say that this: He loves Todd. Or he’s in love with him. Made me go \o/ big time. :) I know, I'm terrible for looking for slash all over the place, but the story felt like it was leading up to that sentence from just about when Todd got Micah a bag for his shoes. In other words, that was an expected and satisfying conclusion. Well done.
(On a totally different topic, what I don't love, I'm afraid, is how teeny-tiny the font is for leaving comments. It's really hard for me to read what I'm typing.)
Oh, you are slaying me with kindness! XD It just makes me so, so crazily happy when the ones that have the most bits and pieces of me are well-received. :) (I should go check out "Pape and Danforth," shouldn't I?? ^^)
HA! ...er, I mean, slash is not everywhere. In fact, it's nowhere. Nowhere at all. Clearly. Um. :P These are not the Microsoft Word documents you're looking for. XD
(Damn, you too? D: jenwryn was mentioning that to me, but it looks fine on my computer, and I'm not sure how to fix it... I'll definitely poke around the options and see if I can figure anything out. Thanks for letting me know!)
I didn't know that, and to be honest it makes me sad. I look forward to your contributions to the contest every round and I thought that I was able to share my fiction with you in return.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend! Sadly, I'm not a particularly active part of the comm -- I have something of a full-time life, and using my time to write for myself is really the only thing that keeps me together. The pieces for B_F have kind of become my way of unpacking the week at some ungodly hour Thursday night, but I honestly don't have time to give all the entries the attention they deserve. When I get a chance, I try to read a couple thoroughly and leave thoughtful comments, but it's just not something I can commit to doing every time. :(
I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you weren't voted to move on, and also really, really surprised. In my humble opinion this was the best entry this week. I don't think I have the same tastes as most of the other brigets_flamers.
Aww, thank you. x) These things come and go -- sometimes I'm shocked at what gets through, and sometimes I'm quite unsurprised. XD Thanks very much, though, and I'm so glad you liked it. :)

Good luck in March, if you're participating. :)

I'm really glad you liked the integration of the backstory parts, since I wasn't quite sure how well I'd jammed those in there. XD
And oh, yes, I am a victim of my endless sentences! XD Excellent point; thank you. XD
Aww, shucks. x) I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
