That's his choice to make. [Even with the face Vanitas wears, it's pretty easy to forget his past sometimes. Ever since they'd become tentative friends, Merlin had slowly stopped thinking about the connection between Ven, Sora, and Vanitas, but he's abruptly reminded of it now.]

If you're really against it, you should talk to him. I don't think it'll make much of a difference, though.

He's an idiot and likely won't listen. [But he'll try anyway because ..... because? Vanitas isn't thinking about the reason, he just doesn't like the idea, so he'll go with that.]
