[Chie is there too, of course, kneeling by Rise and Yosuke's prone bodies and freaking the hell out. Setanta is on one side, clinging to her waist and crying, and Chie the Scyther is on the other side, clinging to her arm. AND CHIE THE HUMAN IS ALLOWING IT this is how freaked out she is.]

God, this is creepy... Did the Pokédex say anything else? There's gotta be something we can do!

[Merlin shuts the Gear off and runs a hand through his hair, looking frazzled.]

Nothing. Just that...the spirits would be taken. Someone in Johto must know something about them.

Yeah, if... if they're in the Pokédex, that's gotta mean this's happened before, right? So there's gotta be a way to... I-I mean, they can't just be... [She can't even say it.]

[He nods, not wanting to point out how even the pokedex hadn't been sure about the spirit part of the description.]

We'll figure something out. For now...we should just make sure nothing happens to Rise and Yosuke while they're like this.

Right. [Taking deep breaths to try to calm herself down, with... limited success.] We should get them to Ecruteak, at least. Um, Bruce, do you think you could carry one of them? [The Hitmonlee immediately nods, expression firm.] I'm a little scared something would happen to them if we put them on Crystal or Goldie...

Yeah. Getting them to Ecruteak is the first thing we need to do. [He looks between Rise, Yosuke, and the pokemon crowding around them.

Then, he looks at his Rapidash, who's stamping her feet against the ground as she eyes the group.]I can take one of them and hold them up from the back while we ride my Gedref.

Alright, sounds good. We better get everybody else back into their balls for now. The faster we travel, the better.

[Now, which one? Well, she has a feeling Merlin might feel awkward holding onto a prone Rise for however long, so...] Bruce, go ahead and pick Rise-chan up, okay? Here, Merlin, I'll help you get Yosuke up onto Gedref's back.

Thanks. [He kneels down next to Yosuke, pulling the clinging Riolu off of him gently.]

I don't think we're too far from Ecruteak. [Frowning as he begins to slide Yosuke's arm over his shoulder, Merlin looks over at Chie.] If we hurry, we should make it to the city before the day's over.

[Chie moves to take his other shoulder as Bruce carefully eases Rise up onto his back. She reaches down to pat Setanta as he starts clinging to her instead.] It's okay, little guy. We'll get them back to normal... somehow.

Right! Once we've got them safe at the inn, we can ask around more and figure this all out. [Onward to Gedref~]

We will. We'll figure something out. [He tugs Yosuke up, supporting his weight as he and Chie move him over to the Rapidash. Thankfully, Gedref seems to sense their intention and gingerly lowers herself to the ground. Once Yosuke is safely astride, Merlin looks over at Chie.]

We need to get everyone back into their pokeballs.

[Chie nods to that, though her face makes it clear she's not feeling as confident as she tries to act.

Once Yosuke's in place, she nods and turns to the various Pokémon in the clearing.] Alright, guys, gather 'round, okay? Anybody who's not carrying one of us needs to get back in their Pokéball! I know it's not fun, but we gotta get these two to safety as fast as we can!
