Z was accepted into the youth orchestra but their rehearsals often conflicted with soccer (the matches vary every weekend) so he declined his place. I hope he will be able to do it next year. There are additional fees on top of his weekly violin lesson, and we still don't have the French situation sorted out.
Since we live in an older complex, there are renovations going on all the time. This time the AC/heater units are being replaced and since it is a building-wide fix we were voluntold the dates. So all of our stuff is in disarray now since we had to take things off the walls and move furniture around. Then on Monday the sink fell off the wall in one of the bathrooms. I think this is all a sign that we should undertake the upgrades we've been discussing since forever. Some are cosmetic, like replacing the door with a hole in it, which has been there so long that Z actually hides his Lego figure there like a little cave. Some are to reflect Z's needs, like getting a desk for him. I supposed at some point we will sell our unit, so regardless of whether we go or we stay, all this stuff needs to be done. I'm just not looking forward to the cost or the hassle, but we are already "camping" so might as well.
Mo is still in Kenya and I will be out for this weekend and next so the chaos continues.
