enchanted or cruel? the month of April
I'm the only one in the immediate family who has a fall birthday. Mo, Z, and my parents all have birthdays in late March and early April. Z's and my mom's always fall around April. Over the past couple of years we've had a joint neighborhood celebration with an Easter egg hunt and Z's birthday. Thankfully this year the weather was lovely. I had the brilliant idea of hiring a couple of parkour coaches to entertain the kids - they were occupied while the adults hid the eggs and everyone told me afterwards that all the kids were *wiped* that night. TIRE THEM OUT. Z had taken parkour classes and gone to parkour camp, and when the gym unfortunately closed, we hired one of the coaches to do private classes with two other families in 2021. The original coach wasn't available so two of his former colleagues came instead and it was awesome.
I'm going on my first international trip for work in June - to Mexico! I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't been on official travel since a trip to Malawi in December 2019, and family travel when we went to Morocco in 2021.
