Slow Day(s)

I'm grateful for my job...but good grief if being here doesn't continue to be a total waste of time! I hate this time of year here in my current position. We're almost at the end of fiscal and that means our activity slows waaaay down. Definitely not a good situation for the day-to-day details person who thrives on her to-do lists and enjoys being hella busy. So, I've had very close to nothing to do for the last week and a half and will continue to basically have nothing to do until after the new year. Basically, I don't know how to relax and enjoy this now, since I'm going to be slammed come the second week in January with getting ready for Fiscal 09. *yaaawn* It's so hard to keep myself occupied for 8 whole hours, so I've been doing things like harassing the payroll people about the 2 hours they owe me on the paycheck we're getting Friday and cleaning/super-organizing my email inbox and archives. Yeah, that takes all of about 20 minutes. And there's only so much browsing Facebook, CNN, Playlist.com, and random blogs that a girl could do (without looking like a complete slacker).
So far this morning, I've
-emailed the property manager of NuCondo about getting together Saturday morning to seal the deal and emailed a potential roommate to see if he's available at that time as well,
-had a drawn-out conversation with the Blair Underwood lookalike in the office about how much he doesn't like holidays,
-taken down my Georgia Football decorations in my cube,
-updated Jeb's birthday in my phone
-checked on an invoice for a postcard we did 2 months ago (actual work)

Maybe I'll find a nice sudoku puzzle to print out to work on until lunch. LOL!

Bored as hayel,
ticcums
