Speaking personally, I think the loveliest thing for a rainy cloudy foggy gray day is a really good local public jazz station, played at a volume where you can really focus on the music if you want to, but can also drift off to focus on Important Other Things as needed.

I've been attempting to distract my brain away from free floating dread by a combination of Norse mythology and literature and listening to the cast recording of A Year With Frog and Toad over, and over, and over.

It is possible that this is going to have weird consequences.

Pete Seeger, Pat Sky, and the Pennywhistlers performing "No Sir, No" on "Rainbow Quest".

The best part is that they rapidly run out of verses they know, so Sky substitutes some from another song, and then they still have more time on the clock, so Seeger starts to make stuff up. I've been there!

Yes, I know, I am only learning about her now (and only listening to "Salt Rain" now) due to a horrifying failure to pay attention to the right buzz but you guys you guys she has this amazing voice! Seriously awesome.

How does anyone live without this woman's voice in their life? Guh.
