Writer's Block: The Right to Privacy

Well, I'm only in it for Richard Armitage. ;-) Seriously, what good actors and other celebrities do for work interests me. And if they partake in charity, do insightful interviews and appear on some bigger events, that's a bonus too.

But I'm so happy that RA protects his private life! I don't want to know too much - keep the mystery, you know. ;-) As it is, and as a member of some RA communities, you find out a few things. And he always comes through as true to himself, intelligent, humoristic and devoted to what he does. That's why I "fell" for him as an actor and I dearly wish to keep it that way.

And if he were to marry, I might be tempted to do the whole "It should have been me"-routine from The Vicar of Dibley. Guess I'm not alone in feeling that way. ;-)

But the thing with RA - lovely, talented and sexy man - he's also that kind of fellow you'd like to know personally, for his own sake. If you were old buddies and he was an ordinary man living in your proximity, you wouldn't hesitate to let him watch your cat/dog/kid/plant for a day or two. If he had the time. If he had, he'd probably do it. And, most of all; what a man to have a great conversation with! I bet those who are his old buddies think he's a great friend, when he has the time. At least that's what I want to think. And if I'm wrong (which I'm NOT), I don't want to know. LOL!

So basically - celebrities must take that responsibility for themselves, as RA does. Some obviously thrive on getting anything written about them and then complain afterwards. I don't seek that information out and have no interest in that kind of celebreties. I don't mean to be snobby, to me it's just more fulfilling to read other stuff. And watch RA. And hang around on LJ. ;-) Among other things.
