Summary: Thousands of years ago after Lucifer lost to God, the other fallen angels wandered around Earth, wondering how to survive. A selected few found the secret. Now, generations later their kind still exists, forever condemned to be chained to Earth.
This is the story of their descendents.

Thousands of Years ago, After the Battle between God and Satan

Two angels, one a male and the other a female, were dragging themselves as they struggled from starvation.

“Anael, we must find some food. My celestial body can not survive on berries and other fruit alone.” The beautiful angel named Selaphiella croaked out as she continued to heave the lower half of her body with her trembling arms. Her once fleshy and beautiful form had grown haggard, thin, and emaciated.

“I know Sela. I know.” He grunted out as he hauled his body a few more steps forward until he stopped and fell on his  back, staring at the ironically cheerful and clear blue sky. He too had been suffering from lack of heavenly food;  God alone provided that.

Breathing laboriously, he continued to stare in silence as Selphiella slowly moved herself to be next to Anael.

“Do you remember what one of the Cherubim said to me one day when I saw humanity suffer during our war?” He softly whispered, trying to conserve the last of his fading strength.

“What dearest Anael?”

“That blood is one of the greatest symbols and objects of life which is why so much was shed.” He continued to gaze at the open sky with contemplative eyes and a parted mouth, almost as if he wanted to drink the rain that would never come.

Their expressions changed simultaneously, agilely sitting up and facing each other.

“You don’t think…that he meant…” Selphiella started out, uncertain of her discovery.

“That for us fallen  angels to survive on Earth, we have to drink each other’s blood?” Anael finished, his eyes no longer wide with innovation but narrow with lust and warmth.

His voice was so low and gentle, slyly insinuating that they should do what they had unearthed after mind-killing days without God or his Holy Presence throughout Heaven.

“Yes…” She breathed out before enveloping her slender arms around Anael’s neck and pulling him into a kiss. The kiss led to what God gave to humans and eventually resulted in blood bonding. They shared blood, feeling strength and indescribable completion of their empty bodies and souls  permeate soothing relief as they innocently fell into a deep slumber.

1558 -Queen Elizabeth’s reign begins

“Vhenus* you have given birth to two beautiful children, a boy and girl. Twins in fact; good job my beloved. Our ancestors would be proud.” A short and stout middle aged woman doted, and sat down next to the content woman who was holding a child in each of her arms.

“Thank you Herah* I couldn’t have done this without you.” She breathed out her thanks, snuggling close to her newly born children.

“Our race is in danger of disappearing off the face of this planet and you actually expected me to NOT help after all those false and stupid threats I shouted at you when you were at the birthing of my own children? I think not dearie. Besides, we are quite alone if it were not for each other, no?” She whispered, motherly brushing a sweaty strand of hair and tucking it behind Vhenus’ ear.

“Of course my liege. Of course.”

1559 - A year into Queen Elizabeth’s Reign.

“I-I am sorry to say that Herah has been killed. She along with her husband Zheus* were involved in a mass homicide incident.” The stuttering young Merchury* could no longer look up at the adults surrounding him. He looked down, futilely trying to hide the stream of tears that flowed down his flustered and anguished face.

“Merchury, are you sure?” Vhenus was pale, her eyes wide with disbelief and desperate hope, trying to soothe herself and husband that this was false, that this was not true.

“Yes my lady. In fact, she named you her heir of title, power, and children. Your husband Ares is to become the new Zheus, and must help you raise her children.” Merchury yelped out a hiccup, the young boy still awkward in his emerging teen years. He refused to show his face, hiding his eyes with his curly and dark brown hair. His green eyes peered behind the soft strands, waiting for whatever to happen next.

“Did she give you her will?”

“She left behind this one quite some time ago. She has given certain belongings to the others, but she gave the most important things to you.” The shy boy gently laid a hand on her shoulder in hope to send her some courage.

“I have a duty to fulfill. Gather the others for the funeral and ceremony.” Her face was grim and determined. A new reign for the Fallen had begun.

1605 - 46 Years after Death of First Herah & Zheus

“Vhenus, run and save the children!” Ares warned as he tried to fend off the monstrous demons after them. His weapons in all six of his arms were clashing and fighting urgently, thinking of his loved ones and friends.

“You must join us! You have fallen as we have! Why have you resisted the inevitable?” The leader of the horde bellowed out in mad glee. The sparkle in his eyes was that of pure sin, one who no longer knew what God or Holiness meant.

“Never! I’ll never join you as long as blood flows through my veins and my wife stays faithful! Never!!!!!!!!!” He gave one last yell of war as he began plowing his way into the crowd, where the dead bodies of demons blocked the exit.

Hours after what seemed to be a never ending war nightmare, Vhenus timidly unveiled herself and her children out of invisibility. She suspiciously looked around as she guided her children in front of and near her. She suppressed a shout of joy at the sight of her bloody but alive husband. She gave her two children pecks on the head before rushing off to her husband. His six arms dropped his weapons and opened wide to accept her. He hugged her tightly, both of them lost in bliss before noticing a long sword spears them both. Letting out a loud gasp, they collapsed to the ground, both in each other’s embrace. Their heartbeats were coming to a near end, and panicked, trying to survive. Both snapped off matching necklaces and threw them at their children. A flash of light encased them before they could be harmed by the mysterious murderer.

1780 - At the Grand Autumn Ball

“My my, dearest Vhenus, you are quite the sight tonight.” A deep and alluring voice tickled her ear and senses. She turned around, a beautiful gown of pale lavender, rich purple, midnight blue, and shimmery silver swirled at her feet, following her movements.

“Dearest Zheus, must you praise me so meaninglessly?” She murmured in return, her eyes contradicting her statement and tone of voice. Her facial expression looked sad, but her eyes shone with a radiant beam, the two golden amber and electric blue orbs nearly glowing.

“I said what is of my opinion and tonight, you simply look ravishing.” He blew into her ear as he twirled her  into dancing with him. She giggled, dancing along as they quickly fell into rhythm, dancing a quick waltz.

“Rosaline, you’ve left me breathless.” He replied, panting slightly. Sweat left a shiny gleam on his pale skin, accentuating his statuesque features. He went over to an empty table and sat down, trying to catch his breath. She followed, her eyes full of concern but her face showing a kind smile.

“And I thought a Fallen like you would know better than to dance with such an expert like me…After all, we all  know dancing isn’t one of your fortes.” She grinned, teasing him gently. Her smile wasn’t smug but rather of soft concern and slight motherly instinctive care. Timidly, she tucked a  piece of golden lock of hair behind her small and delicate ears, decorated by simple silver heart studs.

“Of course. But then again, singing is, now isn’t it?” He mused, reminding her of the numberless days they spent singing duets together and sneaking out to meet each other in private caches.

She didn’t respond, only blushed like the innocent but mature young woman she was transitioning into. She was speechless when she saw her brother Vhulcan dance with a Muse, let alone an annoying and air headed one like Erahto. Stupid girl only thinks about sex and poems…what a combo.

“Do all men lose their ability to think when they are ‘inspired’ by that irritating excuse of a poetess?” She grumbled under her breath, protective ripples sonic booming through her aura. Her stunning golden eyes unsheathed daggers at the dancing poetess.

“Well, some men have built their immunity better than others. Unfortunately, your brother has not.” Zheus Hero agreed, his boldly large eyes idly staring at the dancing and stumbling duo. His long and slim hand went to cup his jaw, while the other one drummed the table impatiently. His flawless skin, straight nose, and enviously supple lips had made him quite popular among the fairer sex, but a prime example on exactly which of the two genders should be the fairer one.

Her anger and threats pounded out of her soul, unaffected by the shaking ground or the trembling mansion. Eventually, a young man struggling to keep his balance waddled towards them, panic literally written all over him.

“Lady V-Vhenus Rosaline, m-may I ask w-why your powerful a-aura is about to d-destroy us all?” She heard his thoughts: DESTROY US ALL. DESTROY US ALL. SHE’S GONNA DESTROY US ALL! DESTROY US ALL! DESTROY US ALL! With an annoyed sigh, she turned around to face this man.

“Dearest Lord Poseidon Xiah, I am merely slightly offended by my brother’s choice of dance partners. Unfortunately, he has not changed his, fueling my intentions even further.” She replied with logic, clear reasoning, and steadiness in her voice. She couldn’t help but gaze at the impressive man. He still hasn’t chosen his Amphritite yet, a bold choice considering his eligibility and magnetic personality.

“Since when have you stolen some of Athena’s wisdom, my dear sister?” A deep male voice asked behind her.

“Brother Vhulcan* Romulus, I have not done anything except for showing my dormant fierce temper and blood lust to get rid of your current dance partner.” She replied, staring Erahto right in the eyes. The poor victim hid behind her dance partner, frightened by the goddess of love.

“Muse Erahto Yuri is not such a bad dance partner or person. Why you are so insulted I do not know, but I have come to bid you good night dearest sister. It seems like it is time for you to drag up the moon from his hiding place.” He coolly defended his Muse, glancing down and smiling at her. She blushed in response, so enamored of being defended.

“Muse Erahto Yuri is obviously a bad choice; you’ve simply been blinded by the very thought and fact that you could get her to lie with you this very night.” She took out her beautiful black and silver star fan, shielding his eyes for a moment before snatching her own hand away in motion example.

Before the insulted Muse could offend back with a response, Lady Vhenus Rosaline had already walked away, intending to do her duty and trying to forget this night.

She did her duty, shaking Lord Artemis Junho awake, just in time for him to put up the moon. She bade him good bye before leaving for her temple. Walking home, Vhenus was in her bare feet, welcoming the cool ground and skipping with lithe abandon. She stopped when she heard a noise in the background. She became still as a statue before hiding herself in the moon light, disappearing from visible view. Immediately, a dark shadow came out to reveal his outline in the shining moon light. He took off his mask, revealing Lord Hades U-Know, his black toga showing pale skin and a built body.

“Lady Vhenus Rosaline, I beg of you to reveal yourself. I have no harmful intentions in this meeting.” He declared, looking distressed and restless.

“Why have you come to ask of my assistance Lord Hades Yunho? Are you having issues involved with love?” She took off her veil of invisibility and stepped out into the moon lit road. She walked over towards where he was, standing tall and unusually suspicious. She leaned back, her hand on her hip. She looked disinterested but curious as to why he has requested for her expertise.

“I-I am in a huge dilemma. I…I accidentally killed my wife…I forgot that she was allergic to…uh her allergies…” He looked at her with pleading desperation and pitiful insecurity.

“WHAT!?!?! YOU KILLED PERSEPHONE?!?!??!” She was outraged: I was the one who inspired him to fall in love with her! THE STUPID FOOL!!

“Shhhhhhhh! I can’t let anyone know that my wife has passed away!!!!!!!” He covered her mouth with his hand, fearful of anyone nearby. She looked back with outraged and large eyes, repressed shouts of rage and illogicalness.

“Please…I need you to help me out like you did to that guy who got his statue turned into a real woman….Er well you animated that statue but my point is, I need a New Persephone. I need you to give me something, anything to put my wife’s soul into it.” His nonsensical talk made her realize how much he loved his deceased wife. But…

“I wish I could…but I can’t. You need to move on. You need to let her go and let her rest in peace in the Elysian Fields. I may not be the goddess of the Underworld, but I am a first hand expert on love, and if you truly love her, you’ll let her go.” Her sad and sympathetic eyes hardened the tall god.

He recomposed his posture and facial expression. Immediately overwhelming coldness cloaked her, making her shiver in the warm moonlit night. He looked away, trying to shield his disappointment and sorrow. He started to walk away, summoning his dark steeds-driven gothic chariot. The rushing sound of demonic wings flapping in the midnight sky echoed until it surrounded the perimeter, the wind blowing against the nearby trees. He walked towards his panting horses when he felt a firm grip around his wrist. He looked back at pleading but determined eyes.

“But I can still help you. I’ll take her place.”

*The names used all derive from Greek or Roman mythology. And of course, they have two names like Dong Bang Shin Ki. I did it to symbolize what they specialize in and what powers they got from their mythological name. Also, to show who is who. If you didn’t notice already, I spelled the names differently, and some I haven’t . Like, Vhenus, Herah, and Zheus. They’re really Venus, Hera, and Zeus; they just have an extra letter in it. The first couple names used are actual names except Selaphiella is just Selaphiel…I made it feminine. Time settings should be accurate and comments are welcomed~!
p.s: if you are wondering, their powers and titles are handed down according to gender and or by some external force like a will. The names are in a royal hierarchy way, obviously the king and queen are Zheus & Herah. The heirs names shall vary. Also, titles and powers can accumulate. =] enjoy!
