What genre/TV shows/movies have had storylines about creepy/alien/monstrous pregnancy? So far, I've got:
The X Files (really, given the persistence of creepy pregnancy imagery from day 1, I think this has to go on the top of the list)
Angel (3 times)
SGA
V
Alias
Supernatural (if I count the cut across the abdomen as pregnancy/abortion imagery; I'm conflicted)
Thanks for your help, and do not expect to see the results of this soon or possibly ever, as it may end up being just too depressing and/or enraging to deal with.
eta: Also, if you can suggest an sf/f movie or TV show in which pregnancy is treated as a normal life occurance instead of something alien, monstrous, horrifying, and soul- and/or life-destroying, feel free to add one. Because right now I'm getting a big fat zero. (Terminator? I mean, being John's mother does ruin her life, but she loves the kid and the whole point of his existence is that he's human rather than inhuman. +1/2?)
