Barcelona
Beach, sunshine, warmth...what are these things??
After a long, long winter I am finally in balmy Barcalona, and the Medditerranean never looked so good! I´ve spent the last two days swimming, lying on the beach and eating in seafood restaurants.
But Im not completely irresponsible. Before relaxing, for the first two days I did some hardcore touristing. Walked up La Ramblas and did a tour of the gothic quarter and explored the harbour front. The next day I did 8 hours of Gaudi! Went from the crazy Park Guell, into La Pedrera for some architectural education, down by Casa Batllo and then finally to climactic Sagrada Familia.
Also managed to squeeze in a visit to n open air nightclub in a historical Spanish complex, which was pretty bizzare. More bizzare, down on the main street I was lucky enough to find the famous élephant man´. Famous because he spends his days walking around naked showing off his downstairs elephant tattoo.
