[ At around nine A.M., Alma comes bouncing out of his bedroom, only to stop when he notices the new addition to the not!family. ]

Oh...! Hello! Are you going to be living here, too?

[And Nei herself will just shoot a dark look over at the kid. A frown crosses her face.]

I have no idea. I woke up here, and for some reason this pictures [She taps a few on the wall] make it look like I live here.

That's what happens to everybody here. We already have a 'father' figure here, and two kids, so I guess you're supposed to be the mother...?

Ah, but it's alright if you don't act like a mother. I don't really mind. [ Because, to be honest, Nei doesn't look much like the motherly sort. ]

Say what? Why would anyone want to do such a stupid thing?

Um... well, I think mothers usually want to act like mothers, right? I guess I wouldn't really know, though...

But, anyways... my name is Alma. What's yours?

I meant why would they want to bring people here and give them 'roles'? (Is this kid stupid?) ... Arshes Nei.

That's... kind of just how Mayfield works. Whoever is controlling this place wants things to run a certain way. Ah, but... as for why somebody would want it this way in particular, I can't tell you.

So this is some sort of messed up game someone's playing? How childish.

[She then pauses. This Alma is making it hard to get mad. Finally, she crosses her arms, and turns her head away a bit from him.]

Yeah. Nice to meet you too. Just don't expect me to be your 'mommy', whatever this place seems to think.

That's fine, I can take care of myself. Well... except for using the stove, but everything else I can do by myself.

Have you met Yu and Xion yet?

[thunderousnei]

[Nei smirks faintly]

I assume one of them is the guy who was laying beside me when I woke up? I met him.

[Or rather, yelled at him and man-handled him, but she doesn't need to say that]

That would be Yu. We're from the same world, Yu and I. He's... kind of irritable, but he's a good person. So it's okay to be a little mean to him, but not too mean.

How old is Alma appearance wise?

[thunderousnei]

[Nei looks at Alma with a bit of a 'what did you just say?' look, before laughing]

Encouraging violence, child?

he's nine, physically.

Only if he starts it.

[ He smiles. ] I'm not really serious, I don't think he would do that. Yu and I used to fight all the time, though. He still has that sort of personality, but... he's a bit easier to get along with now, I think.

Is that so? I can't say I got that impression. He seemed very annoyed, actually.

That sounds about right for him. Don't hold it against him, though, he's not a bad person. And he needs more friends, anyways.
