Feb 14, 2011 19:28

[The day had been going along typically for Nei.  This meant:  Ignoring her not!husband, dealing with her not!kids - okay, she didn't mind them, just the not!husband - and trying to find things to do.  After a run down to the store to get stuff for dinner, she'd come home and played the good little housewife by checking the mail...  only to find a ( Read more... )

[Scout did get a box, and the memories. They seemed to real, but as hard as he tried, he couldn't shake them off.

And then this call? Maybe it was real after all. He won't call back, but he'll be showing up at the park that evening, sauntering up slowly to Nei, hiding small bouquet of flowers behind his back.]

Well well. Fancy meetin' you here.

[She'll merely turn her head slightly. She's settled onto one of the benches, a small basket beside her. He'll get the faintest bit of a smile.]

Strange that we're both in this horrible place.

Mayfield's a small world after all. Though I kinda wonder what they're up to, though, since this seems like a sudden coincidence.

[Still, part of him almost doesn't want to fight it. Instead, he pulls out the flowers.] Oh yeah. Happy Valentine's Day!

Who knows. I haven't been here long enough to learn much about this place.

[She looks at the flowers, and will take them.]

Oh, is that today? [Tone is 'Yeah I knew it was, I'm just saying that.] Thank you.

Please sit. I made us something we can eat out here. It's still warm.

Chicken wraps. I also have some that have only vegetables.

[She'll start opening the basket up, pulling out two containers. There seems to be some cups and a thermos inside too.]

Hey, not bad. Should I be lookin' fer a grenade in it?

Hmph. That would be in a dessert. Wraps are too small for grenades.

[He laughs.] A big bang at the end 'a course. Shoulda expected that.

Well, of course. What fun is it if the fireworks are all set off at the start? [Oh and she's leaning over to open those containers, but that leaning? Well it's dragged her skirt up just a little higher, and she'd already altered it; enjoy the view, Scout.]

[Oh, he is! And is making no secret about enjoying that few. Actually, just to be a tease, he'll tap the container with his foot just a liiiiittle farther out so she has to reach further.]

[And merely get a devilish look in return, as she reaches out an arm to snag it and brushes his leg in the process. No, she's not bad at all.]

Hm... Since January, so not all that long.

[She gets the lid off the container and offers him some of the wraps inside.]

It's repulsive, the fashions are horrendous and the person assigned as my 'husband' was useless the day I arrived. Couldn't give me any information, so it was left up to my 'son' to do so.

That's probably good. Maybe they all went back home. Or is that bad? Hmm...

[She shrugs and smirks at him]

Hey, at least we don't have to worry about too many people scolding us this time.
