Yesterday was Free Comic Books Day!
Hooray for free comics!
I managed to find enough time to go out and grab a pile of them, and I seem to have gotten a decent haul. It's too bad more indy presses haven't got the resources to put out free comics for Free Comic Books Day! but I take what I can get and am delighted to do so.
I'm such a huge fan of comic books and webcomics, and getting the free teaser issues on Free Comic Book Day! is really a huge step forward for Geekdom. I can remember when I was younger, when comics had a really huge stigma attached to them, in spite of the fact that there were some really well written and drawn works of art out there. It's a true delight to me that comics are so mainstream now, and that so many more people can find the enjoyment that many of us have known was there all along.
