I think it's become painfully obvious that my body responds quite negatively to any form of stress. Stress over work, stress over a girl, stress from fear, emotional stress, etc. Whatever it is, I end up getting sick, or breaking out, or both, or losing my voice. In this case, it's the tried and true "tonsils swelling, feeling sick" version of the plague. We started rehearsals for The Rink yesterday- an 8 hour rehearsal, that was supposed to be ten hours but thankfully we were ahead of schedule. The whole time I felt like ass. Luckily, the tonsil thing isn't as bad during the day, when I'm woken up and active, but it comes back at night and in the mornings. And since my job is to talk on the phone, it sorta sucks.
I was just asked by my co-worker WHY I was lonely. She apparently doesn't understand why someone wouldn't enjoy being single. Now, I know I have a greater tendency than most to jump from relationship to relationship, but am I wrong in thinking that while single is fun, NOT single is more fun? Having someone who needs/wants me is practically what drives my life- both personally and professionally- and when I don't have that someone, I start spiraling downwards. It does create awkward situations in which I leap before I look, but it's like a drug for me. I need to be needed. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think that's a particularly abnormal desire.
