Nerding it up!

Soooo, I'm actually really excited about trying out D&D.

Dear god, what am I saying! D:

But really, K is trying to get a good group together so that we can try out the new D&D rule system and all that jazz. It's looking like they re-wrote the rules to emulate the many mmo games out there now. Everything's quick and much like standard character creation minus the customization and complexity that goes with the older versions of D&D. Which makes it all the much easier for me to actually get into it. But it does make the game a little lamer.

Oh well.

Art history has actually been pretty fantastic. I accredit this phenomenon to the teacher, because without her, I wouldn't be the least bit interested in all of that old artsy fartsy stuff. But the way she presents and talks about the work and the artists makes it a bit more accessible, if you will. I'm used to teachers just standing there and droning on and on about artist A and his/her work and why that is important. End of discussion. But Prof. Kelly, she talks about the art in a way that let's you access it more personally.

Take, for example, Bronzino. She starts out with, "So, for those of you who just HAVE to know: yes, this artist is gay. He is as gay as the day is long!"

Hi-larious!

But anyways...life's ok. I think my anemia is kicking back in. I've been exceedingly tired and dizzy for the past couple of months, so I figure that it's about time to actually go do something about it. Blegh, I don't feel like going to the doctor though. That's money on gas that I could using.

school, life, geek love
