Scythian Empires
I think Glee is overrated, but stereotypes are reinforced for a reason: because people love them. I watched the first two ep's, it seems like a pretty standard cliche rom-com TV show. I will say however that the musical numbers are pretty sweet. I'm still debating if the numbers are worth watching the whole episode. It might be better sport to just watch clips on youtube. I like the idea of a show focusing on musical theatre/show choir, but they didn't do much to make it their own.
Dropped my sister off at UCSC today. I half volunteered to spend the remainder of the weekend with my parents, who I'm pretty sure secretly are having child withdrawals. Seeing as they let me got two years ago, I thought a day and a half with me, after their baby girl left, would do them good. Dropping her off at college was an experience. It was basically the text-book perfect college first day. Friendly RA's in matching shirts, people playing frisbee, CSNY and Beatles being played in the courtyard. She got matched up to a fantastic roommate with many common interests... my first roommate was a soft spoken Chinese body builder. We didn't speak much.
I guess some part of me that resents my freshman semester is jealous of how great she has it. On the other hand, I'm totally awesome now, and I'm really happy she's not in as shitty a situation as I was.
