Lessons are mostly done. Yay!
I am forever changing how I do lessons in an attempt to find what works best for all of us. I think I have found the formula, I think. Everyone did what they needed to and I heard almost no whining.
A couple of weeks ago, I gave them a table with the hours sectioned off from 8 AM until 2 PM, then gave them the list of subjects they had to complete each day and a list of extras I will teach them if they want. They both built in holes of free time for each day. This worked perfectly. Maggie took too long on her hair (half hour) and so that ate up her free time that came later in the day and it brought no complaints with it. She didn't get her Math done in the time allotted, so she has homework tonight. Roo didn't finish her writing, so she also has homework. We shall see how well the homework goes over tonight. I think it will work nicely though. No TV or play time if all their work is not done before supper. It all has to be completed before their evening chores.
Amazingly, they are all napping right now. I don't know how I swung that!
