Luna said that she loves me and called me mamma Karin yesterday. I was dumbfounded; flattered, absolutely - I must be doing a decent job of being her dad's girlfriend, after all - but also rather stunned. I hope she's not going to make a habit of it, I don't feel nearly mature and reliable enough to be anybody's mum!
Well, well, well... C - the real thing - didn't mind, so that's all good. Luna knows who her real parents are; I think we're all happy that things are working out so well with me and C's husband.
So, yes, we're being rather busy at the moment - I went out like a light around half past nine yesterday evening, and I'm amazed that I'm still awake. Should be going to sleep, really; tomorrow is Andreas' birthday. He's having some kind of premature mid-life crisis and has started growing a ridiculous pair of sideburns, that sting me every time I try to kiss his cheek. I have to make him get rid of them, somehow...
I'm giving him books; Pratchett's latest, because he needs cheering up, The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin, because he'll finish the Pratchett novel within two days and need something else to read (and she's an amazing writer, just as a by the way) and two old copies of Sam J. Lundwall's SciFi mag, because I couldn't track down any of his books for A. He's a fantastic sf writer, too. Also got a pair of glittery peach (!) devil horns on a headband, for Luna. She'll be happy to have a parcel of her own to open, and I felt that she stands in need of something to counterweigh all the princessy tiara thingies she has, at least a little. I'm a little bit disturbed by all the wedding, ball and princess fairytale stuff she's been blurbing about lately - the Spiderman thing from this summer seems to be forgotten.
Oh well.
We went looking for sensible shoes for me and Andreas last Monday. We didn't find any sensible shoes; we found an insane pair of skintight and extremely pointy black leather boots, with little pompadour kitten heels and a turn-down cuff at the knee, instead - swashbuckling pirate fuck-me-boots, how about that? Hardly used, 375 crowns. That's about 40 dollars. Of course I got them. Of course I'll be wearing them with my bicorne hat to the Tech Noir halloween thingy on Saturday. If you're lucky, I might remember to take a pic or two, too.
