In my writing group we are writing a book, each of us doing a chapter and then we are going to self-publish it as practice / a learning experience. I just wrote chapter 3 and I must declare that it's the best one by a mile. The people in my group are really supportive and it's a fun open environment. A Cross chapter is next in line, but I keep writing everything but that, lol. I have enough for two other chapters, one I think will be broken up into pieces which has to do with Marcus and Ashley and will be too dark if run together.
