(no subject)
so i am home for a week! i got in yesterday morning and i was super tired since i had to wake up at 4:30 but i slept a little on the plane so that was good. my dad and zack were there to meet me at the airport, i almost died of happiness when i saw my brother, he is now only half an inch shorter than i am and i hate that i feel like a little person around my eleven year old brother. so, anyway, we got my luggage and then my dad showed off his new enormous truck. it is ridiculously big. there is also no bar to step on so you can actually get in so zack had to help me by pushing me up into it and then demonstrated how you have to get a running start.
then they dropped me off at daniels since they had to go back to work and i didnt really wan to sit at home alone so i hung out with him for a few hours and then dad picked me up at around 4:30 and went home to see my mama! who, of course, cried and hugged me lots and said many times "you're so beautiful, you look just like me" and then couldn't understand why my dad and i were laughing at her. we had a few drinks and ate apples and then zack got his football gear on and we went to pick up corey who i missed like crazy and went to the field for practice. corey and i sat in the bed of the truck and talked lots which was really nice because when i was home in may, i didnt get to talk to him nearly as much as i wanted to and corey is just a really good listener.
so yeah, then becca came to the field after work and her and me and mom talked about funny camping stories. like when we went camping the one time when i was 11 or 12 and becca decided she was going to search for bullfrogs with zack in the lake and she came out screaming and covered in leeches so we had to get them all off her and then we went back to the campsite and she started to freak out because "MOM, WHAT IF WE MISSED ONE AND IT IS GOING TO CRAWL INSIDE ME?!?!" so she is in the tent having a panic attack and yelling for us to come check her and make sure we didnt miss any and we're all outside laughing and telling her we are going to have to burn off any we missed with the bbq lighter.
oh, and the other time when i was about 16 and we went camping on a secluded site that you had to walk down a huge hill to get to and becca and i had the genius plan to hide behind the trees at the base of the hill and scare our parents but we had to hurry so we started to run down the hill and she tripped and twisted her ankle and i just kept running because i thought she was okay and then i didnt want to go back because it was too dark out. now that i think about it, we're not really that nice to her.
so anyway, after the three of us laughed for a really long time, the practice ended and the six of us piled into the truck and it was the first time corey had seen the whole family together and all in good moods so i'm sure it was interesting for him. when we all get together and we're happy, it can be overwhelming. everyones talking about different things out loud to whoever will listen and it sounds as if there are 15 people instead of 5. zack was talking about a mean coach, dad was annoyed with said mean coach, mom was trying to console them both while complaining about my aunt, becca was talking about how she had to get up for work at five and about how she has to feed her cats and who wants to come see them and i was alternating between i'm hungry and i have to pee and just giggling to myself about how corey must have been so overwhelmed and the five of us were all catching snippets and answering everybody else whenever we could.
so we got to beccas apartment, she fed the cats while mom and i peed and then dad ordered pizza while we drove home. we sat outside drinking beer and wine and screwdrivers and talking about everything and nothing and it was a lot of fun. pizza came, mom went to bed, the rest of us went downstairs to eat and watch tv and then corey and i decided to head to jons because he was having people over but when we called, everyone had already left so jon came over. eventually we went to the park and played on the swings and talked and laughed lots and then corey and i had a mini street fighter fight on the way home but he is too intense for me and i gave up real speedy-like.
so that was my first day home. now lisa is coming to get me for a baby dallas/frenchy's shopping trip and then i am coming back here to spend time with my family and then heading to daniel's! tomorrow i am staying home with zack and then it is turning into corey/jon/hopefully greg day and thursday is shopping with mom, friday afternoon is shopping with becca/mom, saturday is all taken up with wedding/haircuts with becca then party at dan's after the wedding and sunday night is jon time and monday afternoon is flying back to toronto so if you like me and want to spend time with me, let me know! lisa's here!
