Koyaanisqatsi

I just finished watching Koyaanisqatsi for the first time ever. Some thoughts:

• This is the first time I've ever thought "I wish I were watching this in an IMAX theatre". IMAX 3D would be even more awesome.
• There were at least half a dozen times I stared agape at the screen, amazed at the shots they'd found.

Baraka is a similar film (same director and similar Philip Glass soundtrack) - it has a more human focus than Koyaanisqatsi but complements it well. I do love Koyaanisqatsi and it has a happy home in my collection. I wasn't nearly so impressed with Powaqaatsi and haven't seen Nagoyaqaatsi yet (though it's out on DVD now) - let me know if you end up seeing it!
