Another poor analogy
This life is so temporary
Tempting to lose your mind somewhere
In outer space
I recall when outer space was on my front porch
And I could reach the stars by raising my arms
To hold up the sky
I did not feel so insane then
These are things we are not meant to deal with:
The crazies that eat your heart with jagged teeth
And hungry eyes leading whores to lies while lying
On their backs screaming lust, passion, and deceit.
Disease
Intentionally infecting
What falsehoods take away the soul?
What truths can return them?
We greedily gobble up love until
Our bellies are full enough to burst
And then we proclaim our obesity to no end
Forgetting our society loves the anorexic
Memories are lost temporarily
While new ones are made with cleverer
Pain to burn them deeper into your mind
But suddenly the sweetest reminisce means nothing
And becomes another bitter capsule you accidentally bit into
On the way down
The medicine tastes sick as it sticks to your throat
All it does is cures the heartburn.
