I just got back from sushi with my cousin Jeffrey. I've been trying to get him to meet me since the end of last year. He's going through some really rough times right now and his life condition is really low. I want to continue encouraging him and help him learn that before anything else, he needs to learn to love himself and become the change he wants to see in his environment.
This weekend has been very good. A lot of nibbling on snacks, cooking midnight breakfasts with Natalia for Kenji and Ryota, but since they were asleep we ended up eating it with our RA, Heather. That was quite fun. And lots of other things like listening to Jazz violin and piano concerts at Founders Hall...
I've started my sketchbook, FINALLY!! Cx I'll begin posting them as images more frequently here.
Tomorrow, I start my one week class with Ex-Security General and leader of Least Developed Nations, Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury on the UN proposal for cultivating "A Culture of Peace"!!! Sooo excited. Last semester, 20 other students got to participate in Betty Williams' week long class and they said it was amazing! I feel so fortunate to be a part of a school that provides us with such incredible opportunities. Several students are currently undertaking a project to host a UN conference on our campus! That won't be happening all too soon but definitely in the future!
So I need to go study for Spanish.... and BIOLOGY. D8 But yeah, by my next entry I'll have quite a bit to share I hope.
