FIRST DATE EVAR IN 6 MONTHS!! D8 WHUT. FAIL.
Kenji and I spent the day at Laguna Beach today to celebrate our 6 month half-iversary. I cooked breakfast for him this morning as well -- nothing extravagant to my deepest shame. xc But he seemed to like it all the same, and we had a very peaceful day hunting art galleries and supply stores around the quaint town. We even strode along the beach with mango smoothies. I don't think I've felt so relaxed in a long time. Note to self: NEED TO GET OFF CAMPUS MOAR.
Also bought a new sketchbook (ha! could one ever have enough?) for JOURNAL'N!! :D I ruv scrap books. Ever since Paris, I've been going around getting every chance possible to buy cool patterned papers. Target actually holds a fabulous selection!

Oh, if I haven't mentioned earlier, I got a job on campus! I'm the art studio assistant and I get to sit here 15 hours a week to do homework and occasionally help students with their art (though students only show up a handful of times). I get to utilize the speakers and hog this huge white room to do my work and perhaps work on several art pieces as well. Heaven? I think so.
At the moment, I'm trying to complete my paper for Pacific Basin on the co-existence of rice and corn culture. Quite exciting, though it doesn't beat the fact that simultaneously on the other side of the continent, JEANNIE MIGHT JUST BE SHARING A GLASS OF WINE OVER DINNER WITH NIEL CICIAREGA!!!! D8 D8 D8
