Finished We♥Katamari after 2 nights of play.. that sure didn't take long. Granted, there's still more to do, as there's more replay levels & probably other hidden stuff (bonus movie 2 is still locked, and the Hoshino kid wants me to find ALL the cousins for something...). Not to mention replaying for better sizes/times. That campfire level kicks my ass, though- took me forever just to get the small & medium fires done, dunno if I'll ever get the large pile lit in time. Managed to get 100% on both SWEEEETS levels as well as the countries ones, which is a first (never got 100% on any level on the first game). And don't even get me started on that fucking bears & cows level- those were the two most irritating fucking levels on the last one. -_-;
But HOLY FUCKING SHIT "DISCO★PRINCE" whips a horse's ass. Even samples the "Check it up, Funk it up, みんな黙って俺について来い" bit from the last game. I was all set to find more music by that guy, only to find out he's a
49-yr-old ENKA SINGER. o_O; I'm going to assume those 2 tracks were either special contract deals, or that someone else wrote the music & they just thought it'd be funny to get an enka singer to rap for a game soundtrack. Oh well.
つよがり塊 (Bluffing Katamari) is also pretty cool- kinda funny how the guy's voice does not at ALL match the いらないんだぜ words... And Everlasting love is damn catchy. Kurukuru Rock would be tolerable if it weren't for that god-awful synthesized voice effect... But synthesized animal sounds doing the KD theme song? No. The barking-dog Jingle Bells was already done, let's NEVER do that shit again. The a capella remake (Katamari on the Rocks), OTOH, is damn funny (think Bobby McFerrin on speed).
Yeah, yeah, I'm several months late, whatever. Need to start R&C on Tuesday.. Tomorrow's booked up w/ homework & laundry. -_-;
