Too much shit in one day...
So, I finished capturing all the R&C3 sound yesterday, & started editing, which revealed the fact that I should've been capturing 2 full loops + padding instead of just grabbing 1 & planning on editing, as lining up the loops is kind of a PITA. Of course, some of the levels have that really annoying "feature" where there's someone TALKING at the beginning (either the Rangers, or Secret Agent Clank's director), so even w/ the sound effects turned all the way off, the volume of the music drops WAY down for a bit, meaning there's no choice but to edit that part in from a subsequent repeat... oh well. When I go through 1 & 2 again (to get all the missing songs) I'll probably just re-capture everything so I know it's all done right & I won't have to spend nearly as much time editing...
Camera research has gotten really annoying. The Pro1, which looked really damn cool at the store, has most of the same annoying qualities that the G2 has. Well, it takes 3s to start up instead of almost SIX, but that's still ridiculous. And of course, seeing the "under 0.5s" on the EOS 350D (known here in Japan as the EOS Kiss N Digital, complete with ads & commercials with kids in KISS makeup *_*) has made the decision a lot harder. The EOS would clearly take MUCH better pictures, and be ridiculously faster (esp. startup). But I'd lose 2 big features of the G2/Pro1 that I've always liked: the flip-around LCD screen, and the ability to record movies. Not to mention the EOS is a helluva lot more expensive (esp. for the 2-lens kit, which I'd probably want). I really need to start working more... esp. since the exchange rate is approaching ¥120/$1 (it was under ¥110 before we left, for those not keeping track or who've forgotten)...
Started We Love Katamari last night, after being prodded & reminded that I wouldn't be allowed to play R&C while Girl wasn't here, and since there's so much crap coming up (mostly all on Saturday), I wouldn't be able to play it for a while after starting it...
On Saturday: Girl has an ICC 飲み会 that she asked me to go to that starts at 6. Then on Tuesday I was asked at WAFL if I was on the mailing list, & reminded (since I admitted to not always reading everything) that Saturday was a big important meeting w/ lots of decisions being made, so make sure to attend (that would be 4:30-9:30). Then I got an email from the dorm list saying there's an "ALL DORMITORY FEAST" starting at 9. And now apparently Girl has a field trip on Saturday. So that pretty much means no games on Saturday. -_-; The next week is Thanksgiving, after which Jerry's coming to visit (aka staying at Girl's). So probably not much gaming then, either. Gar. Oh well. Might have to wait 'til next NEXT week to start R&C4...
Anyway.. need to finish editing the R&C3 songs so I can stick 'em on my iPod. Might replay a couple WLK levels if I finish early or get bored. Was planning on staying 'til 12 tonight, but I might have to leave earlier, since I kinda forgot about having to study another 6 chapters of kanji for tomorrow... -_-; Stupid homework.
