Today was really refreshing after the dramz that went down yesterday. Basically, I got yelled at massively because I missed a dentist apointment. Yes, I understand that I messed up - I admit that - but they went into bitch mode on me and they even made the fatal error in calling my mum. I am quite over 18 - therefore, she is not a part of any type of medical decision. It was just stupid and bad decision making on their part and it made me pissed.
But today was nice. I was feeling fall. It was nice and cool today so I threw on a pair of cords and a long sleeve t. Took the dog down to the river and let him splash and it was just warm enough that I could wade in, without getting frostbite when I came out. Then, I was feeling very bakey - made a traditional southern red velvet cake and some lobster bisque. Basically - I am trying out a million recipes while I have an unlimited kitchen and before I go back to being poor and only eating noodles and sandwiches.
And for the time being work has been almost non existent. Just really slow. So they cut back my days. Not too worried, as I just gave my two weeks notice today. I totally forgot I had to tell them when I was actually leaving the country. But some of my favorite horses are shipping out in the next couple days. They are going to Montana and goodness knows that I know I'll never get to see them or ride them again. I am definently going to miss Mo - who I would hands down have made an offer to buy if I was staying around. I never thought I would fall for such an awesome draft X who works as a cow pony (but they can jump too - right ;-) ) Pictures to come from this summer - I promise. Even of me riding - haha.
But tomorrow is actually a huge deal - it's the day I get my biometrics and my visa gets sent in. Let's all cross fingers that everythign goes smoothly and that I get my visa ASAP. I am getting shivers that moving to England is coming so fast - but now, as the leaves are turning here - it just seems RIGHT that I am leaving again. A new change with the change of the seasons.
